Curriculum and Instruction (MEd)

The Master of Education (MEd) in Teaching and Curriculum Development offers the opportunity to explore new and emerging research-based practices in teaching and learning for students who are looking to improve their teaching skills and content knowledge. Designed with the flexibility to meet individual needs and interests as an adult learner, this option includes 15 credits of core courses including a capstone project, along with one of the following concentrations:

  • Inclusive Education (15 credits of special education courses)
  • Integrated Arts (15 credits of art related coursework)
  • Secondary Literacy (15 credits of literacy coursework)
  • Open Option (15 credits of electives)

Requirements

The MEd in Teaching and Curriculum Development requires the following materials to be submitted through our online application

  • Recommended 3.0 or better GPA in undergraduate coursework
  • Official transcripts from any/all college level work
  • Three professional recommendations
  • Current Resume
  • Statement of interest
  • NH Residency Verification form (NH residents only)

Deadlines

Students can apply for admission to any of the upcoming semesters. Here are the annual application deadlines:

  • Fall semester - August 1
  • Spring semester – December 1
  • Summer semester – April 15

With a MEd in Curriculum & Instruction, you will have the opportunity to enhance existing teaching skills and learn new skills to use in the field of education. Our students focus on topics in education such as assessment, curricular revision, diversity, and research methodology. Students will customize their electives to create a specialization highlighting their professional goals.
